Ella: Happy Pages

The bright and talented Stacy Julian has teamed up with the energetic and inspiring Lain Ehmann to develop a wonderful e-book over at Ella Publishing Co:

It is a fabulous publication, certainly worth more than the $5.99US they're asking for it. Some really great ideas and so much energy. I'm excited to get to some of the projects outlined. Though my scrapbooking style is different from both Stacy and Lain, the content is similar and I love the ideas presented in their thoughtful and creative new book.

Ella put out a call for "happy" pages to coincide with the introduction of the e-book. These are the two I created - and yes, submitted:

Layouts: Fair Favourites

Submissions: Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine

After much encouragement (thanks, ladies) I decided to submit some layouts to some publications.

I am not deterred! I will continue to check out the submissions tab and see what they're looking for and submit ... only if I create something submittable. I was so nervous about it for so long. Thank you to everyone who was so encouraging! Now that I've gotten "over it" I will be far more comfortable submitting again in the future.

Where I Buy Fun Supplies

  • A Cherry On Top
    I can't "toot" loud enough to let you know how fantastic this online resource is: tons of product, great prices, FAST shipping - a week quicker than any other US online retailer. Love them, love them, love them. If you have to pay duty and taxes I'd rather pay it quick than have to wait for the privilege!
  • Forever Scrapbooks
    Located a few kms away in Burlington. Great when I need something quick, I can usually find it here.
  • Pages In Time (Michigan)
    A bit of a hike, but well worth the trip if you happen to be in Michigan.
  • Pick of the Patch (Port Coquitlam, BC)
    Fantastic monthly kit, look forward to opening it each month. It always includes something I can't find locally.
  • Scrapbooks By Design (Toronto)
    Fabulous place, but the website does take f.o.r.e.v.e.r. to load.
  • The Crafty Scrapper (Texas)
    Oh my, a feast for the eyes, your fingers get itchy just walking in the front door, so much stuff to behold. Located in Waxahatchie, Texas it's a bit far, good thing they have a website and decent shipping!
