A binder is only a binder

Now to the create the goodies that are going to make this binder a functional part of my life! So much fun to do. A quick and easy project to complete. Certainly a potential gift for give-away throughout the year! It's never to late to add some order into our lives, eh? Even more fun to do with the talented ladies over at Feeling Scrappy.

Altered Gifts

I had the pleasure of spending yesterday afternoon with my tremendously talented (and funny, and kind, and opinionated, and outrageous) friends Cyn and Char at the Scrapalicious store in Mississauga. We arrived at a little after 11AM and stayed until 6PM!

While there, Cyn very generously gave me a gift she had made and I want to share:

Life is (indeed) not a rehearsal and I'm so privileged to be going through my life with such wonderful friends populating it every step of the way!

Altered: Advent Calendar

A few months ago, I found a few very cute Count Down Calendars from Karen Foster Design. They have been sitting on my shelf (with a bunch of 12x12 canvas) mocking me for months!! I am determined to not only discover great ideas, but EXECUTE them!! I stopped over at Scrapalicious yesterday (after my delicious lunch with my good friend, Donna) and collected some holiday inspired paper.

This project was done with ONE sheet of 12x12 paper, some leftover Bazzill cardstock, more leftover American Crafts acetate snowflakes, some Making Memories paint, a piece of ribbon and the numbers came in the kit.

I think it turned out really well. Each drawer is about 1.5" square - enough room for a few Hersey's kisses, peppermints or some other sweet treat.

One down, four more to go! I chose different paper for each child. This one is for me and Louis :)

Where I Buy Fun Supplies

  • A Cherry On Top
    I can't "toot" loud enough to let you know how fantastic this online resource is: tons of product, great prices, FAST shipping - a week quicker than any other US online retailer. Love them, love them, love them. If you have to pay duty and taxes I'd rather pay it quick than have to wait for the privilege!
  • Forever Scrapbooks
    Located a few kms away in Burlington. Great when I need something quick, I can usually find it here.
  • Pages In Time (Michigan)
    A bit of a hike, but well worth the trip if you happen to be in Michigan.
  • Pick of the Patch (Port Coquitlam, BC)
    Fantastic monthly kit, look forward to opening it each month. It always includes something I can't find locally.
  • Scrapbooks By Design (Toronto)
    Fabulous place, but the website does take f.o.r.e.v.e.r. to load.
  • The Crafty Scrapper (Texas)
    Oh my, a feast for the eyes, your fingers get itchy just walking in the front door, so much stuff to behold. Located in Waxahatchie, Texas it's a bit far, good thing they have a website and decent shipping!
