I can't believe there are only two days left in October! More unbelievable is that I've managed to do a layout a day each day this month. I really tried to limit myself to one layout specifically for LOAD and keep other projects outside of the challenge. That just means there are things I've created that haven't been posted ... yet!
I've actually managed to produce/finish quite a few projects, the studio is the in the process of a huge reorganization and I have a ton of prep work completed for some upcoming things I'd like to do.
I've also managed to recruit a few friends to join me in a LOAD challenge for 365 Days starting October 1st. Why not give us a 31 day head start? We're changing it up a bit. The daunting part of the LOAD challenge has not been the creation of a layout, but it has been the taking of the photo (during daylight hours), load, edit, upload and display each layout, each day. The challenge we're organizing is simply to complete 7 layouts in a week and upload all 7 at one time. Do all the layouts in 7 days or in one day doesn't really matter. The whole idea is to get your layouts done, right? Some of the ladies are coming up with prompts and ideas. I think it will be fun. If you're interested in joining in, let me know and I'll send you an invite to the Flickr group!
In the meantime, these are my most recent LOAD layouts:
Day 25:
Day 26 (based on Sketchapalooza5 Sketch 2):
Day 27:
Day 28 (got the idea from Donna Downey's blog)
Day 29 (as the eldest daughter of three which grew to five daughters, and being the only one of us who has two sons, I can tell you most days I'm somewhat shell-shocked by the energy of my boys. I'm glad to finally have a layout documenting my appreciation and exhaustion!)
I'm so grateful for the opportunity to participate in LOAD. These layouts would all have been done. Eventually. The support and encouragement of Lain and Tammy, and certainly all the talented ladies on the Flickr discussion board, really makes the month fly by with a sense of accomplishment and determination to get them all done.
Mark your calendars! LOAD is making a return in February. A nice short month. I do hope you join in the fun if you've never participated, or return if you've been part of the group. If you're even more ambitious, you are welcome to send me a note to leecurrie at cogeco dot ca and join our 365 LOAD endeavour!
