No surprise to anyone, I have signed up for the latest Cathy Zielske class over at Big Picture Scrapbooking. The topic is Me: A to Z. I know. Another course teaching me to explore ... me. To be honest, I have a pretty good handle on myself - the good, the bad, the oh so very bad and doubt I'll take another me-oriented course again any time soon. I could not pass up on an opportunity to take another course lead by the incomparable Cathy Zielske.
Characteristically, I do my pre-class work sometime within the first two weeks of any class starting. In an effort to be a better student, I thought I'd get a jump on things and, according to the digi-date, I actually started (and finished) my pre-class assignment in early July:
Now my little tag book has been cut, inked, assembled and embellished. I have been taking it around with me for the last little while (alas, part of the assignment). The idea is to, alphabetically, write down words that define us. Get it? Me: A to Z.
The idea being that we will end up with pages in our tag book which are a true reflection of who we are. My brilliant friend, Brenda, has taken this assignment a step further. Realizing that in order to achieve a true reflection of ourselves we need input from others, Brenda has asked her family and friends to participate in order "to get a more well-rounded picture".
BRILLIANT!
I love having smart friends, virtual and real!
So, I'm asking for your assistance. Is there a word that comes to mind when you think of me? If you think of me, that is! Or, can I impose that you think of me for about 5 seconds and if a word comes to mind, can you leave me a comment (or send me an e-mail to l2l dot leemonade at gmail dot com) with what that word is, and why it is, if an explanation is necessary.
Some words/phrases already in my tag book are:
B = blogs: writing and reading
D = directionally challenged
E = enthusiastic, exercise avoider
F = (easily) frustrated
G = genuine, emerging germophobe
H = honest (to a fault), really don't like heat
J = judgemental
O = observant, overweight
Q = quotations by Thoreau and Emerson are faves
V = virtuous life is my goal, vulgar makes me cringe
W = water is my nemesis, writer
Y = yack, yack, yack, I talk a lot when I'm nervous (and when I'm not!)
Z = zest for life, zest of lemon is good too :)
Can you think of any other words? Send them along!
Thanks, Brenda!
