Slice of Life 3/6
My home is sealed up tight from the first week of November through March. We exit and enter as quickly as possible so as to keep the cold out and the heat in. I anxiously await that first hint of spring so that I can open the windows and air things out.
That day arrived today.
At 16*C (about 60*F) it was such a welcome change.
It was like letting the house breathe. Bring in all the freshness of the lake air and the sweet songs of the birds. I sat in the living room on one of the chairs in the silence of the house and letting the sounds of breeze and birds come over me.
Our days of hibernation are not quite over: we have not celebrated Easter yet, so we haven't seen the last of the snow, but for a few hours the promise of Spring blessed our home. Bliss. Pure welcome joy.
