Shutter Sisters: Brilliant Idea

A reminder of my One Little Word for 2009. This necklace arrived yesterday from Susan Reeves, Owner and Designer at Moondog Treasures. Isn't it beautiful?

I was just over to visit Shutter Sisters and Paige Balcer has posted her "self imposed homework assignment" which I think is BRILLIANT - the timing couldn't be better.

The assignment:

1) Take one photo everyday until Jan. 31st that is colorful, cozy, cheerful or just makes you smile.

2) Do something creative with your hands 5 days a week. It could be drawing, painting, origami, scribbling, doodling, writing, or anything else. But it may not involve a camera or a computer. I find that doing creative things with my hands makes me more creative as a photographer and designer.

The assignments start Monday through January 31st.

My particular interest is in the second half of the assignment. I have not been too terribly creative with my hands. Far too tidy, not enough mess has been created. The 365 project has definitely got me using my camera - a lot, and I think I can manage colourful, cozy, cheerful and smiling on a daily basis! The computer has certainly become an extension of my person between Facebook, some on-line courses, shopping and the blogs.

Time to get messy.
