The hardest part of these assignments is to find photos that are appropriate for the design, theme or colour. I do not print my photos at home. I like the quality - and cost - of photos processed over at Fortino's. Right now, I can't beat $0.19 for 4x6 and 5x7. But I can't get over there every day! And I don't know that I will ever be organized enough to pre-print a week or month worth of photos in anticipation of sketches, colours and ideas I've never seen. I'm almost tempted to print all the rest of the photos in black & white and then I don't have to worry about anything. Hmmm. We'll see.
At any rate, this week we were given the colours: hot lime green, red and a trendy gray with a dash of white. We were also given the sketch. This is my interpretation:

Journaling: "There is nothing more frigid than a February sunrise. A fresh blanket of snow adds to the beauty of it all. All summer long I yearned for days like these. No doubt I will yearn for the summer the next time it arrives! 7 February 2008"
