* I have been asked to explain the significance of the lemons. Well, it's simply a reminder that life is full of lemons and it's better to just choose to make lemonade!
Last year I participated in the 52 Lists Project at Moorea Seal and really enjoyed it through the 20 weeks it lasted. The project has been resurrected this year and I am happy to repeat the prompts. Not only will it be a nice guage to see how far I've come - it'll let me know how far I have yet to go!
52 LISTS | Week Two | List your greatest comforts
my children are healthy, happy and kind . a clean house - top to bottom . bamboo sheets . my music collection . quiet evenings . answering the phone to the voice of a friend on the other end . cashmere . cheesy, ooey, gooey, comfort food . overhead fans . my living room lined with bookshelves overflowing with journals, books, photos and scrapbooks . displays of love . lemonade . when my kids check-in after a night out . always having something to do . water views . folding laundry . real molasses cookies, heated . the first cup of coffee in the morning . hugs . walks along the perimeter of the school campus - in any season . reading a book by a roaring fire . lists . a happy and welcoming entrance to my home . big pieces of wood furniture . the sun rising every morning and setting each evening . the sound of the ocean when visiting cape cod . sauvignon blanc . burning muscles after a reformer pilates session . large bouquets of like coloured flowers . my big dslr camera in my hands . thick white bath sheets . meditation . medium-rare rib eye steak with sautéed mushrooms . fog rolling off the lake . twinkling lights . eileen fisher tops . flats . sleeping in my bed with the window cracked and the ceiling fan on . when i press "send" and a week later a finished project arrives in the mail . hardwood floors covered with plush area rugs . the expression of genuine happiness at my unexpected presence . books . deep resonant voices . quiet time .
