For family reasons, I was disappointed to miss my much anticipated trip to Georgia as part of the Patti Digh "Design Your Life" camp this past weekend. I hope to attend, should it be available, next year :)
Early on Saturday morning, I realized the campers, 1,500+ kilometres away, were going for a photo walk at 12:30PM. Since I couldn't be with them to share the experience, I took out my camera, put on my favourite lens, found an empty memory card and joined them - in spirit and enthusiasm!
Here are a few of the shots taken, as always, SOOC:
My enthusiasm, sadly, waned quickly. Normally I like the flat light found on overcast days. The temperature was lovely with a breeze. My hip wasn't too sore and my ankle swelling had gone down. But, all that said, I was uninspired and couldn't seem to capture what I was looking to find.
Maybe it's because autumn hasn't quite arrived at the school and there was little colour. I'm hoping by next weekend the chapel will be brilliant with the change in the ivy, the creek stunning in early morning fog, and the forest covered in brightly coloured fallen leaves - expecially if coated in autumn rain.
As with all photo walk days - you never know what you'll get until you grab the camera and go :)
