My 4 Simple Goals, April 2012 edition, includes a couple of Not So Simple Goals:
- Accept. I must stop waiting for the behaviour of others to change. I have to accept their choices and make those actions (or non-actions, as it were) okay for my kids. It's time to take charge and stop making excuses for the bad conduct of others.
- Try. We're starting to get into "exotic" fruit season at the grocery store and I'd like to start buying a new fruit or vegetable for me and the kids to try in an effort to get away from the usual apple/orange/banana rut we've been in the last few months.
- Quit. I am forever looking for conditions to be ideal - it can be exhausting. I have to consciously recognize and stop this useless habit. I need to be productive!
- Finish. There are two (niggling) décor items in the house that have to be completed. A couch for the living room and a light fixture for the kitchen.
REWARD*: BBQ tools! I'm tired of singeing my hands while making dinner :)
*I recognize that meeting the goals is reward in itself. This is a reward beyond that - a small tangible token.
What about you? Do you have a few activity oriented goals you'd like to meet? If so and you participate, let me know! I'd love to see what you have planned.
