Journaling reads: "SEE WHAT SHE'S LIKE? always taking photos. It drives me crazy." Poor Claire. Poor Adam, the new boyfriend. I dropped them off at the GO Station to take the train into Toronto so they could shop at the Eaton Centre and Urban Outfitters in downtown. Well, Claire shopped and Adam schlepped bags and kept her entertained. I dropped them off just before noon and picked them up just in time for dinner. I really love living with such easy access to the "big city".
Journaling reads: NOTHING IS WASTED around here, especially now that so much is made from scratch - or purchased from the peripheral of the grocery store! It's exhausting but worth it. There are a few things I can't make, but when I can, I do. We live on the organic rotisserie chicken and always have to get two at a time. Into the pot with the bones, whole onion, celery leaves, carrot shavings to make broth for lunch or flavouring in another dish. Baby steps, but getting there.
Journaling reads: NOT CONTENT WITH A SIMPLE HAPPY NEW YEAR we are looking forward to a BIG happy new year filled with challenges, opportunities and adventure. Embracing all of the good and bad lessons of 2011 and applying them to 2012 surrounded with the love and kindness of friends and family. Tonight, while Claire went out to ring in the New Year with Adam and their friends, the rest of us enjoyed our new tradition of Chinese take-out and board games. Low key and lovely!

And, with that another December Daily is complete! Given the crazy of our December, I'm glad I decided to go 100% digital early on and made it primarily a 1-photo-per-day exercise. There are a couple of photos and stories not shared, but that doesn't really effect the feel of the album here on the blog.
And now I'm off to the next project. Well projects! Move More, Eat Well; Project Life; One Little Word and a couple of others I'm working on.
