01. Caden is the best company in the kitchen first thing in the morning. Before the sun comes up he is my sunshine. Great kid!
02. I'm pretty good at remembering to take my little yellow pill every morning.
03. The older kids all had their breakfasts on the go extra early. It's the first day of school for them and Claire is a Home Form Leader so she gets to greet the incoming Middle School students. Out the door to arrive at school for 7:30AM - about 30 minutes earlier than usual.
04. A new route. The best part? I don't have to drive. It's a 1km walk (15- minute walk) from the house.
05. Early in the month I signed up to join Jamie Ridler - a life coach in Toronto - for her morning pages. I know the idea is to write with pen and paper, but I've been using 750 Words since I have about 10 spare minutes every morning and manage to squeeze in five more to get to the full 750. It's a great program. I've enjoyed it.
06. My mums are taking a bit of a beating. It's been very sunny and though the mornings are cool, things heat up pretty quickly. Watering is a must!
07. I've signed up to volunteer - and what better time than at the beginning? I'm now helping at the College Shop, in the Barn. For years my kids didn't want me to hang out at school, so I didn't. Chloe on the other hand wants me around. So I'm around.
08. Cole's hockey team is having a big fundraiser on October 15th over at Cameron's Brewing Company. I made up the tickets and a friend of mine donated the printing. Thanks, Steve! They look gorgeous. So, if you're up for it, let me know and join us for a great evening next month.
09. New carpets, finally! The guys arrived early and left late. The place looks great and now I can finally fill in dressers and cabinets as they've finally been moved into place. Onward!
10. While waiting for Chloe at Appleby (to drive her up to her singing lesson) I started working on the Path Finder course I signed up for at Chookloonks. I'm a week late, but at least I have all of the stuff I need and now the time to do it.
11. Around dinnertime the girls and I were off to the mall to get Chloe a pair of shoes that fit! Poor thing spent the day today in shoes that fit her ... in June. All has been rectified and she has lovely new moccasins to wear each day. No more ballet flats in this house!
12. Bachelor Pad ... finale! Many life lessons have been discussed with all four kids about what they've seen and heard on this show this season. A great test of parenting skills. Especially with having both genders in the house - no generalizations allowed :)
