Welcome back to my weekly Interview Series.
Today it is my pleasure to introduce you to my a wonderful woman, a friend in progress and one of the first "regular people" I knew who consistently made exquisite scrapbook projects. I am so thrilled at her success within the scrapbook industry, join me and get to know Jennifer Larson:
What age did you start keeping a journal? Honestly, I kept the diary with a key when I was in elementary school, until I was bothered by my mundane entries and I threw it away. Ouch. I later started a commonplace book in 12th grade, a place for me to record quotations from my reading. This has stuck. I've kept one since then, and I'm on my 8th book.
Who’s diary/journal (dead or alive) would you like to read? Joss Whedon, Thomas Edison, Martha Washington, and Aphra Behn.
Who have you suspected of reading your diary? No one! But in all honesty, I kept that key diary not long enough for anyone to sneak a look.
What is your idea of the perfect journal? A fancy cover, thick paper, lined pages, and easy to open.
Which words or phrases do you most overuse (in speech and/or writing)? In all honesty. My husband laughs when I say it.
What quote most speaks to you? "Practice makes perfect, so practice the right thing," from Venita Ray in "A Piece of Cake" by Cupcake Brown. Plus, "Writing is refined thinking," by Stephen King.
Who (or what) inspires you? My family, my positive attitude, color, and light.
Who is your favourite fictional character? Miss Marple.
Who are your favourite writers? Agatha Christie, Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child, and Bill Bryson.
Which natural talent would you most like to be gifted with? Extroversion.
What is your greatest creative talent? A good sense of balance.
What is your greatest creative challenge? Perfectionism and using my stash, especially digital tools.
