I am blessed beyond measure to have a curious and energetic 10-year-old who drags me here there and everywhere when he finds things that interest him. Even better? I'm thankful that often those things that interest him also interest me. In this case it was the old Battery grounds where the St. Lawrence River meets the Rideau Canal. We read all of the plaques and maps and discussed how "we" were often at war with our American neighbours in the early days of settlement in North America. He asked great questions and I hope I gave him equally great answers!
So thankful for curiosity.

I'm also thankful for Ali Edwards and her ideas. On her blog, she is starting this new "occasional series". Not only that, but each time she posts a Thankful Thought it will include a free numbered overlay download. BONUS: Included in her first post is a rounded-corner photo mask.
