This really should be version 05 rather than 04 but last week was chaotic with multiple trips to Stratford. Though I'm a week behind, this DO is actually about that trip.
THE STORY: A short week ago, I blogged about what a privilege it was for my son Cole, and his team, to be invited to play in the Nations Cup hockey tournament. Perhaps a once in a lifetime opportunity to wear the uniform and represent our country. If this event doesn't warrant an album, I don't know what does!
WHY DO? As is my custom, I brought my camera and took oodles of photos. 1,400+ which I managed to edit (I know, can you believe it?) to the 101 uploaded to Flickr all brighter, cropped and sharpened. This was done by Tuesday. Bonus? Once the photos were selected, I found a digital template to use - a re-purposed December Daily square layered template from Ali Edwards. I found some gorgeous Michelle Martin papers already purchased and just waiting in my iPhoto files. The piece de resistance? An old - I mean OLD - 8x8 Creative Memories album I've been wanting to use! The only cost of the album is the photo developing. Not only were all of the materials selected, but the pages were just sent over to the photo developer. I'm no longer "hoarding" pretty things to be used "later" or for something "better". After all, the whole idea is for these pretty things to be used!
Bonus? It is Cole's 14th birthday today. This is his gift. I was greatly motivated to get this done for him.
Now I just have to take photos of it all ... and maybe post them :) My next do?
