patience
i know it looks like a pile of leaves, and it is. it is also a lesson ... to me.
every year I'm frantic to get all of the leaves put out for pick up by the town. hours are spent every weekend doing the raking and blowing and bit-by-bit all of the autumn glory is brought out by tarp-load to the front of the house. my family is tired, cranky and generally miserable - and i, being the nag who makes them do the work, get the brunt of their ire. not this year. we waited until the very last week the leaves could be left out for collection and i hired our lawn service to remove the leaves - all of them, one effort.
works for me. works for my family. simple thing.
