Hello and welcome to our first reunion blog party! I hope you've enjoyed your journey, so far. It is a lucky day for you! I can assure you, from experience, you are meeting some of the most lovely ladies here on the www.
My story?
About a year ago I hit a blogging crisis. I loved blogging: the writing process, sharing photos, all of the memory-keeping potential; but, after a time, I found my blog (personal and creative) was getting more than a little stale. After all, how many memes and tags could you participate in and keep things fresh? I needed to reinvent, grow and expand upon my self-imposed blogging limits. I knew I needed to gather my courage, let down my guard, stop embracing fear and just go for it.
Around this time, to my rescue came a course offered by Shimelle. One entitled: Blogging for Scrapbookers. What could be more perfect?
Indeed, I didn't know then just how perfect it was. Who knew when I signed up that I had entered into a community of dynamic, interesing, varied and creative women? Many of whom, a year later, I maintain more than a passing friendship. Though we may be "only" online friends, often I know more about them and their families and their lives than I do the lives of those I see every day. The ladies on-line inspire me every day. All of them are unique in their geography and circumstance but their appeal is universal in their spirit and creativity. I can travel all over the world every day and visit my friends. As immense as the world may be, here in blogland it gets smaller every day.
Your next stop on the hop is the incredibly talented Sharyn Carlson. I can't let you click over without telling you that, among many things, Sharyn is both patient and kind. When I decided to combine both of my blogs back into one, she helped me with Typepad and codes. I was unsure and intimidated by the whole process and she walked me, a virtual stranger, through. I would never have had the confidence without the support of Sharyn!
For those collecting for the grand prize, my letter for the phrase is: Be sure to check out each blog in the hop in order to collect your letters. You will be able to enter for the 'grand prize' at Jo's blog :) Good luck!
Now, for those interested in celebrating your own bloggy friendships, please leave a comment and a link to your favourite bloggy friend saying why they are your favourite bloggy friend. I will draw names on Monday, November 8th at 8PM (Eastern) and you and your friend will win one of these:
