This past week over at Write.Click.Scrapbook. there was a photography challenge based on the premise:
"We don't know about you, but summer feels like it's flying by in a blur and we can sense fall lurking just over the horizon.... well, we say wait just one minute! Summer isn't over yet. This week we'll provide five super-quick photo challenges you can accomplish without missing a precious minute at the pool, beach, or backyard. Grab your cameras and let's go!"
The comment I left in response read:
That is such a fun photo, Jody is so good. I posted a couple on the Flickr site :) I'm melting and ready for some cooler weather, but will miss the photo ops when they're gone! (We have our first hockey tournament this weekend *gasp*)
On Monday the challenge was to capture SUMMER FOOD:
The Tuesday challenge was to capture the CRAZY of summer, SUMMER ACTION:
The Wednesday challenge was to find magical places that only exist in summer, so here are my PLACES OF SUMMER:
And the last assignment embraces the notion that nothing beats summer reading. I have to agree since Claire has read over 2 dozen books this vacation! These are our SUMMER READING pics:
You can find all of my photo submissions in larger form - with their descriptions and stories, over on my LINARstudio Flickr account.
I enjoyed this opportunity to look back through the photos and memories captured this summer. It has been wonderful ... so far! We still have a way to go, but I will take on the challenge and put all of these pictures and stories into some form of album.
As always, thanks for the inspiration Write.Click.Scrapbook!
