CAPTURING SUMMER WITH PHOTOS : Kelly Willette is a tremendously talented photographer and I've learned a ton from her over the last year. She is tremendously generous with her time and talent. I'm thrilled to see she has collaborated in Stories of Summer with Ali Edwards, an equally generous and creative inspiration!
I am conflicted after seeing all of the photo examples on Ali's blog, created by Kelly: I am visually stimulated by her approach and her results AND I'm feeling desperately old and want to go back in time and re-take all of the thousands of (sometimes less than wonderful) photos I captured of my children through summers past! I suppose I can still take photos ... and I will, but never will my kids be so carefree and chunky or willing.
Onward, right?
All that being said, in my defence, after going though my iPhoto for the last couple of summers, I have actually implemented many of her techniques, just not with the same confidence and control. Following her outline, here are some of my photos from past summers:

It is full to bursting with ideas ... 100 of them! I can guarantee anything you learn and implement from Kelly will be valuable. It will make a lasting difference in your photo captures.
What about you? Are you participating in Stories of Summer over at Ali Edwards blog? I'm enjoying the variety of ideas and the visual stimulation. I really need the rain to go away so I can get outside!
