Today is Family Day. Invented and introduced last year, we have a day off in February. Well, some do, some don't, it's vary inconsistent. I just know the rinks are open but the grocery store is closed. Crazy.
Anyway, what did we decide to do? Nothing. The kids are exhausted with an activity-full existence so we let them all sleep in. I was so looking forward to it, but managed to make it only to 7:30AM. Chloe and Caden, both sick, were down for breakfast soon after that, Cole wandered in for food around noon and I have yet to see or hear Claire and it's now 1PM.
I've taken advantage of the comfort of having all my family under one roof and no place to go by immersing myself in completing my Me: The Abridged Version I mentioned earlier this week. The project is coming together quite nicely. It's interesting how, now that I'm putting photos to works how my words have changed now that the text is all written. I'll be burning a disc and making a trip to Fortino's first thing tomorrow morning and finishing it.
In honour of it being Family Day, I've moved the project upstairs to the kitchen in order to catch the Olympics coverage in the family room and listen to my kids ooh and aah over the coverage, well, re-coverage, of yesterday's events.
Whoot!
I'm so close. And, I have to say, quite proud of the almost-finished product.
Will share later.
Enjoy your day with family :)
