In actual fact, as promised in my Creative Endeavours post, I had started this project early in January, but as anyone who reads here knows, I've had digital woes, and I really want to do this project in digi! So, the photos have been taken and selected and the stories of gratitude written, even the digi template had been chosen. They were not put in any format; a formula I can use over and over, week by week. After all, consistency (to me) is key to success.
And I was stuck, the digi template and I were not communicating.
So, as I had earlier this month, I sucked up my pride and asked for help. First a note was sent to Shirley and Jill, because they are brilliant, savvy and they actually know me (and are tolerant of my non-digi ways and questions!). Then I had the idea to send that same note to Karen, the template creator.
Guess what? All kinds of digi-knowledge came my way and I managed to catch up! Thank you so much for your support and kindness ladies, I'm thinking at some point you'll see a Weekly Gratitude card with your names on it! As it is, here are my Weekly Gratitude tributes for January (click on the image to enlarge if you want to read the journaling):
Not only that, but while I was busy in PSE6 moving, layering and editing, I realized that once, a very long time ago, I was a Creative Memories consultant and I had some unused albums PERFECT for this project! Do you remember when the PicFolios first came out (I don't even know if they still make them) but I knew I had to have one or ten around here somewhere. I found one!
And it's big enough for two years worth of entries, and then some! That's a lot of gratitude :)
This is a new experience for me. Making a cover page in five 4x6 elements. I refused to be daunted by the obvious limitations. So here is what I managed to come up with:
So now I have figured out the digital files and I've found a format. I'm pretty sure I can do this!
Are you participating in Weekly Gratitude? What is working for you?
