In the Ella Publishing Co. November e-zine, my tremendously talented friend Monica gave a few examples of creative shortcuts we can all take to make the creative process a bit quicker. I was thrilled to contribute to her article! I received from her two magazine pages and the request to use them as the basis for my layouts. This is what I came up with:

Now, I don't have many general interest magazines here in my house - they are usually scrapbook- or craft-oriented, but I do pick up the occasional Oprah, Real Simple and Martha Stewart Living, depending on how much time I anticipate spending in rinks and school parking lots. I really enjoyed this process, with thanks to Monica, and have been looking at ads differently since this project.
