well, not necessarily Christmas, I just want these things and this is the season of want-lists. (I'm not a fan of obligatory purchasing, at any time!) Anyway, I wanted all of the following items last fall, and some last summer, too! I'm hoping that over the next few months, or when I see a deal, or when they're back in stock, I'll have the means to purchase:
I've coveted this particular lens for a couple of years. Because I'm going to use it for sports I won't need the image stabilization feature which does cut the cost, but at $1,500+ it's still a huge chunk of dough!
Now that I've learned to use the previous version PSE7, I'd like to upgrade to this PSE8. Why? Because. And at $99 it's not over-the-top out of the budget!
Stupid expensive, these Bose QC15 headphones are a complete luxury at over $300, but wouldn't it be nice to drown out the noises in your house to enjoy your iPod - either a podcast or your latest musical indulgence?
This letterpress machine by QuicKutz is being advertised all over the place. I'm fascinated. Do I need another crafty endeavour? Do I not? Hmm. It's $150 at PaperSource in the States. I don't know what that converts to up here but still sounds somewhat reasonable ... until you buy all the goodies to go with it!
Finally available in Canada, the Amazon Kindle. As a former English major I can appreciate not lugging books around. I spend a huge number of hours waiting for children: in school parking lots, rink parking lots, church parking lots, field parking lots, you get the idea. This sounds like a wonderful solution to packing a bag full of things to occupy my time. Maybe I'll read more than 2 novels: the really bad one and the brilliant one next year!
In the meantime, because this is the season of obligatory-guilt-induced-purchasing, my list to Louis included: a remote control for my Canon 40D, Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion and a photography book of his choice, well, his choice with guidance, of course!
What do you want for Christmas? Or, non-Christmas?
